SSCP Certification

This gold standard certification provides assurance – recognized by global companies, government agencies, and other security-conscious organizations – that you possess the technical knowledge and hands-on experience to implement an organization’s information security policies and procedures. 

The SSCP is a certification for the hands-on practitioner who continuously monitors information systems to safeguard against security threats while having the knowledge to apply security concepts, tools and procedures to react to security incidents. The SSCP’s focus is on the technical aspects of information security and on the design, implementation, and administration of information systems in compliance with stated policies. 

The System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) Certification is suitable for:

  • Security Analysts: Individuals responsible for analyzing security requirements and implementing security measures within organizations.
  • Network Security Engineers/Administrators: Professionals managing and securing network infrastructure and ensuring its integrity.
  • Systems Administrators: Those responsible for maintaining, configuring, and securing computer systems and servers.
  • Security Consultants: Experts providing advisory services related to information security to organizations or clients.
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) Personnel: Individuals working in SOC environments responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents.
  • Security Managers/Officers: Personnel overseeing and managing security policies, procedures, and compliance within organizations.
  • Compliance Officers/Auditors: Professionals involved in ensuring regulatory compliance and conducting security audits.

The Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification focuses on these key outcomes:

  • Access Controls: Implementing and managing access controls for system protection.
  • Security Operations: Managing secure operations and applying security policies.
  • Risk Management: Identifying risks, conducting assessments, and monitoring security.

For the SSCP certification, a candidate is required to have a minimum of one year of cumulative paid full-time work experience in one or more of the seven domains of the SSCP CBK.

Instructor-led classroom sessions and VILT sessions. Study Guide, award winning E-learning content, Presentations and Case Studies, and Mock Exams.

  • Regular sessions – 8 day sessions -9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. ( 40 hrs.)
  • Evening sessions – 6.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m. (14 sessions – twice a week)
